Kicking off 2025!

Cleaning supplies for families who received toilets during the 2024 program

We started this week off strong. This year Deanna, Sam, and special guest Diana are quickly going through checklist items. Appointments, meetings, shopping for supplies, and more. We secured a meeting with the Teuk Sa'at organization quicker than usual. They normally need a little more time past our arrival to prepare. This year they already 2024 documents ready for review, the proposal for 2025, and an opportunity to participate in the formal handoff of toilets to villagers set up for the next day [pictured]. It's not in our nature to slowly go through the important tasks, but this pace is quick. That's going to help buy us some time for a few other items...

• Evaluating solar for 2025 since there has been some disruption in the 100W lights. 200W and 300W are available. However it will take some planning to set them up right without it looking like your family toilet is harnessing the power of the sun.

• Introducing Diane to some of the popular locations in town. We want everyone who accompanies us to have an amazing time.

• Planning for the longevity and success of Building Cambodia. Deanna and Sam see each other only once a year. This is the best time to do that kind of organizational long term planning.

As always the people here are friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. This is truly our second home. It is a joy to help better the community!
