Time to Recruit

We have an amazing team of people in Cambodia. Mr. Sok and his family received the the three of us (Diane, Deanna, and Sam) at his home again this year. He'll be distributing four solar lights to nearby families who do not have electricity. Plus he will resume teaching basic computer skills via a replacement laptop. The previous one was probably 10 years old and showed substantial wear and tear by living in the countryside.
Prem took the picture so he's behind the camera. "Driver" is far too simple a description for all of the local coordination, sourcing, arrangement, and guidance that he gives us. "Country Liaison" would be a more apt title.
Prem even had a chance encounter with a long-lost high school friend while we were buying the laptop. Turns out his friend owns the shop. They were already friendly and helpful before. After finding out more about what we do for the people of Cambodia they were jumping at the chance to help. So now we have a trusted local PC shop!
The Teuk Sa'at organization who builds the well and toilets has been a partner for 25 years. Their designs are now the country standard.
These are amazing examples of the community of people that make our work possible. It is clear that for Building Cambodia to ensure success for years to come we need to start working on recruitment from the US. That will help us identify the next generation of leaders to keep the great work going. Don't worry, we're not stopping what we do. This is just planning ahead.
So... anyone out there interested in visiting Cambodia?
