A Trip to Kampong Phluk កំពង់ភ្លុក

If you're going to go to Siem Reap in the wet season, you need to go to a fishing village. They float on the Tonle Sap in well organized rows. In dry season the houses tower above the ground atop 8 to 10 meter stilts. Now they brush the water with their lower floor.

Years ago villages like this didn't have any real appearance of government services. There was a police boat. And maybe a village hall. Now each home has electric service built to withstand the rising tide. Village kids often wore life preservers clearly as daily attire.
