Post-secondary education can be challenging in Cambodia. Young adults are often expected to support both themselves and their family following high school. Obtaining a degree can then be considered a double burden from both the additional cost of education and the lost potential for immediate income. With limited scholarship funds available the process for selecting the right students is a complex and thoughtful effort. Our partnership with villages over time helped build the trust in communities required to establish thriving scholarship grants.
